Measure RB PROTECTS
the Future of Redondo
This Charter change protects our local zoning from State laws being used against us. Additionally, we are using the many wins in the court system to further protect us.
Vote YES on Measure RB!
Measure DD was the original Charter change, and has stood as a stalwart to protect the city. Times have changed, and this minor change reflects that.
Predatory developers have tried to use our own laws against us, this change fixes that issue and proactively prevents future issues.
Since 2008, Article 27 of our City Charter has given the the residents the power to vote on major zoning changes. These minor updates to that portion of our City Charter will further protect that control and allow our city to be compliant with State law.
A simple change on how ballot materials are delivered to the voters allows for better compliance, better methods of distribution and more effective communication at a lower cost.
The future is bright, and the changes that are proposed will be automatically removed in 2035. This allows our community to move forward and rest assured our decisions today are protected tomorrow. This allows full State law compliance.
If this Charter change does not pass, the ramifications are significant to this community. We would lose a vital tool to prevent free-for-all development in every part of the city. Your neighborhood would be in peril.

“Measure RB will protect Redondo Beach from predatory developments trying to exploit little known State laws that can run rough shot over our local zoning.
This is vital that we pass this Charter change.”
