  • These changes clarify our State certified “Housing Element”, today and in the future, do not need a separate vote due to our court wins and constantly changing State laws.
  • Prevents the exploitation of  little known State laws that are causing havoc across the State in other cities.

  • Forces future development projects to abide by our zoning and local laws.

Protecting our local control has become one of the biggest issues in our city in the past few years. The State Legislature in Sacramento has passed hundreds of laws that have eroded our ability to properly zone and control our future.

In addition to the State legislature, the malicious use of the legal system against our city has resulted in years of litigation. We have consistently won against all of these battles.

Because of this, Measure RB was thoughtfully crafted to act as a stalwart against these attacks.
